Freshwater Real Estate
Guffey (originally Freshwater) is situated in the mountains of central Colorado at an elevation of 8,700 feet
in the southeastern corner of Park County. Established in 1895 and once a mining, ranching and lumbering
center, Guffey still preserves the spirit of the old west and attracts the modern-day pioneer in search of

Freshwater Real Estate is located at 611 Canon Street in Guffey proper
(population 25). Guffey is 65 miles west of Colorado Springs, 120
miles southwest of Denver, 70 miles southeast of Breckenridge, 30 miles northwest of Canon City, 68
miles northeast of Salida, and 30 miles west of Cripple Creek. Rose Peters, owner

Guffey is one mile east of State Highway 9 between Hartsel and Canon City. From
Colorado Springs, take Highway 24 west to Florissant, then south on Teller 1 for
9 miles, then southwest on Teller 11 for 5 miles, then west on Teller 112 (becoming
Park 102) for 15 miles.
